Today was such a fun real mail day! Cilla's dress came which will come in handy when I visit the dressmaker next week, Aunty Marj sent me some doilies that belonged to her mother and Grandmother and the order of service cards arrived with some beautiful cards for free.
We had the idea to go fair trade for the wedding invitations after Michael got a birthday card made by people in Timor to support them to become sustainably independant.
I found these cards to use for the order of service and was planning on purchasing a similar card from this organisation to use for the invitation but there weren't enough in stock and the project is no longer in operation. So with some more searching Michael found an organisation that is not far from where he lives. Its called Siham Craftlink and has such an amazing array of fair trade products - we had such a fun time visiting (well I did anyway). We got some invitations. Its the dove card and is beyond beautiful in real life. We are also getting little blue paper bags to put the favours in.
I am now obsessed with fair trade and am searching these websites for more fair trade things to put in the wedding.
